Client Requirements The clients of Indragound Residence approached Naksha – The Art & Design Studio with a vision to create a contemporary and compact home that maximizes space efficiency while reflecting a bold architectural identity. Their brief emphasized a clean, modern elevation with minimalistic design elements and a warm, earthy palette to complement the surrounding landscape. Key requirements included a functional layout with ample natural light and ventilation, privacy-oriented design for the front facade, and the integration of a vertical feature wall to break the visual monotony. The clients also desired a low-maintenance exterior finish and sustainable design interventions to ensure long-term durability. A touch of traditional charm was requested through the use of jaali screens, serving both as a design element and a passive cooling strategy. Naksha’s design responded with a striking three-storey elevation that balances form and function, delivering a timeless modern residence that reflects the aspirations of the family.

Project Concept

The design for Indragound Residence embodies a sleek, contemporary aesthetic with a focus on functionality and visual harmony. The compact three-storey structure features clean lines and a minimalist façade accented with warm terracotta tones and textured finishes to create a timeless modern appeal. A striking vertical jaali screen becomes the signature element of the elevation, serving as both an artistic feature and a functional device to ensure privacy, filter sunlight, and enhance cross-ventilation.

Large windows and strategically placed balconies allow ample natural light while maintaining a sense of enclosure for urban living. The use of earthy materials and subtle color contrasts adds depth and character to the overall composition. Designed to be low-maintenance and energy-efficient, the residence reflects Naksha’s commitment to creating contemporary homes that are sustainable, context-sensitive, and aesthetically refined.
