Client Requirements The Brief was to design an elegant residence with luxurious aesthetics in a medium budget. Newness and freshness in the material palette was incorporated. Various facade designs with different materials were designed. Louvers were added to separate spaces and provide privacy to the family members.

Project Concept

The Residence is designed for a family in Puducherry. The City has a Hot and Humid Climate throughout the year. To minimize the heat impact, small openings are designed. Plantation is done in exterior spaces with trees and bushes. Box facades and the use of arches create interesting patterns. A clear panel for the gym area is provided to allow natural light in the space. Glass railings are used to avoid the use of metals. The simplistic and elegant look of the Residence has been carefully kept while conceptualizing the elevation. Entrance gates are provided on both sides of the road for ease of parking. Ambient lights and other details have been added as per the client brief and discussions. The Louvers along the staircase area and the balcony provide privacy and interesting light patterns in the spaces. Thermally insulated glass has been used in the entire structure to reduce the Glass box effect.
